The story of the Good Samaritan gives a clear picture of God’s desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man whom others had passed by, Jesus told His hearers, “Go and do likewise.” That is the mission of Samaritan’s Fellowship—to follow the example of Christ by helping those in need. This has been part of our DNA since 2015; we have provided aid to thousands of people affected by natural disasters and manmade crises. Learn more

We work to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities, skills training, and support for entrepreneurship, especially for minority and marginalized communities. By enabling people to earn a living, participate in local economies, and achieve financial independence, we help strengthen social stability, equality, and civic participation. This aligns with our vision of inclusive growth and equitable opportunity for all citizens.
Samaritan’s Fellowship Foundation works to strengthen democratic governance and civic engagement in Pakistan. Our Journey
The Samaritan’s Fellowship Foundation Pakistan (SFFP) was founded with deep compassion for the oppressed and a steadfast commitment to uphold the dignity and rights of marginalized and religious minority communities in Pakistan.
What began as a vision soon grew into a movement of faith and purpose — standing against social injustice, intolerance, and inequality, and transforming empathy into empowerment.
- As a member of a religious minority himself, Faisal had long witnessed and personally experienced the struggles faced by those silenced by poverty, discrimination, and social exclusion. Guided by his faith and moved by these realities, he envisioned such a platform where human dignity, justice, and equality could be nurtured and upheld for all.
- Inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan (a story of mercy, justice, and restoration), Faisal, alongwith his friends and family, established the Samaritan’s Fellowship Foundation in 2013. What began as a small group of friends united by a shared commitment to help others soon developed into a structured movement for relief, empowerment, and democratic development.
- The Foundation’s early work focused on compassion in action — reaching those in distress, feeding the hungry, providing medical care, and restoring dignity to those who had lost hope. However, the leadership soon realized that sustainable change required more than relief; it demanded empowerment — Trade, not Aid — through education, skill development, and economic independence. Faisal believes that compassion must go beyond charity. True transformation, he recognized, comes through awareness, empowerment, and solidarity across people of all faiths and backgrounds.
- With this vision, SFFP started to built community-based groups dedicated to education, awareness, and livelihood initiatives. These programs enabled marginalized men and women to acquire skills, start small enterprises, and participate actively in civic life. The aim was not to speak on behalf of the poor, but to help them find their own voice and claim their rightful place in society.
- By year 2015, the organization was formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and expanded its operations across Punjab and other regions. Through these efforts, SFFP raised awareness on human rights, supported vulnerable families, and advocated for the inclusion of religious and social minorities. Faisal Yaqoob and Team Samaritan personally engaged with provincial leaders, including Speaker of Provincial Assembly of Punjab, Rana Mohammad Iqbal, and Governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, presenting proposals for minority education and social development programs.
Over the years, the Samaritan’s Fellowship Foundation has grown from a small volunteer network into a national platform for human rights, freedom, and empowerment. As it celebrates over a decade of service, SFFP continues to inspire hope, build youth leadership, and strengthen democratic participation through partnerships with local and international organizations. Today, through its programs in advocacy, education, and sustainable livelihoods, the Foundation stands as a voice for the voiceless, carrying forward the spirit of the Good Samaritan wherever compassion meets action.
At the heart of the Samaritan’s Fellowship Foundation Pakistan (SFFP) lies a simple yet profound belief — that compassion must go beyond charity. Inspired by the timeless parable of the Good Samaritan, our philosophy is rooted in transforming empathy into empowerment and restoring dignity to those silenced by poverty, discrimination, or exclusion. We believe in “Empowerment Beyond Aid.” True change comes not through dependency but through opportunity — education, skill development, microfinance, and sustainable livelihoods that enable individuals to stand on their own feet. Our approach follows a sequential model of change:
- Immediate relief for the suffering;
- Empowerment through education and economic freedom;
- Democratic participation and long-term transformation.
Our work is also inspired by the Starfish Story — a reminder that while we may not change the entire world, we can change someone’s world. Every life touched, every family empowered, every voice uplifted matters deeply.
SFFP’s philosophy embraces inclusivity and interfaith solidarity, recognizing that a just and peaceful society can only be built when people of all faiths and backgrounds unite for the common good.
Every initiative we undertake is rights-based, evidence-driven, and impact-oriented, ensuring that our work leads to sustainable change — not just momentary assistance. Through this vision, the Samaritan’s Fellowship Foundation continues to stand as a beacon of hope, where compassion meets courage, and faith transforms into action.
- Compassion Beyond Charity We believe that compassion is not limited to giving — it is about restoring dignity, empowering individuals, and creating lasting change.
- Justice and Equality for All We uphold human rights and advocate for fair access to opportunities, regardless of religion, gender, or social status.
- Empowerment Through Opportunity We promote education, skills, and livelihood development so that people can become self-reliant and confident contributors to society.
- Faith in Action Rooted in the spirit of the Good Samaritan, our faith drives us to serve humanity with humility, love, and integrity.
- Integrity, Accuracy, and Transparency We maintain the highest ethical standards by ensuring that every decision, report, and resource is handled with honesty, precision, and openness.
- Accountability We are responsible to our communities, partners, and donors — ensuring that every action reflects our mission and benefits those we serve.
- Inclusivity and Pluralism We embrace diversity and encourage dialogue among people of all faiths and backgrounds to strengthen social harmony.
- Sustainable Impact Our programs aim for long-term transformation — fostering resilience, self-sufficiency, and hope for generations to come.
